Adam Orkin is the Chief Executive Officer of Orkin & Associates, LLC, a third generation family enterprise which specializes in real estate investments. Adam is also the founder of Devin Properties, LLC a real estate development and investment company. He and his beautiful wife, Amy, have three wonderful boys. Adam’s passions are God, family, sports, and gardening.  Adam is a friend who gives it to you straight. He has taught me how to maneuver during good and bad opportunities.

John Smoltz ,who played 22 years in  major baseball league, helped lead the Braves to the 1995 World Series and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015 (82.9% -first ballot).  Hines & Smoltz shared a passion to help our youth. We partnered and decided to hold a golf event to spread the word. TheHines & Smoltz Golf Event in 2017 helped to raise awareness to underprivileged youth. With Smoltz time and resources, the SAM-Foundation has taken another step closer to our goal of our own facility.

Lisa Rayam worked for Fox 5 for over a decade.  She is a journalist,  an activist, and was a panelist on past Georgia Senate debates.  Lisa is a friend of the SAM-Foundation and lends her knowledge in the business world and resources.  Our basketball program had the opportunity to train her son in basketball skills but his love shifted into a big time football player at UNC Chapel Hill.  

Michael Beasley and I go way back to the Run & Shoot days in the city of Atlanta, when players from the NBA and overseas worked out for hours on the court and weight room.  After playing international basketball, Michael decided to become actor.  After more than a decade, he has stood beside some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Denzel, Samuel Jackson, Kevin Kline, Robert DeNiro and more.  Securing A Mind Foundation oks forward to working with Mr. Beasley - a former student/athlete. 

Sean Wright, NBA referee, and I met in Mobile, Alabama when I attended the University of South Alabama.  Sean is now one of the top NBA officials making calls for the NBA against players like: LeBron James, Jokic, Tre Young, Chris Paul, The Greek, Jeremy Lin and more. A few years ago, I informed Sean I needed his help to reach and change the lives of our youth so they will have a better understanding that you can make it if they take control of their lives and determine the outcome.  

Ramesh Barasia was educated at Cornell, Harvard, and Syracuse University.  We paired up through SCORE - chapters across the country offering free one on one counseling for starting and growing successful small businesses and nonprofits.  SCORE assists at all points of the business life cycle; from creating and evaluating business plans to purchasing equipment, leasing real estate, franchising, even selling and exiting.  I knew from our first meeting, he was the advisor for me.
